Words Are Never Enough They Say {Poem}

Words are never enough they say,

And must be those right.

For how can someone spell

the beats of their heart,

the blushing blood in their veins

and that whirlwind of oozing stories

on a mere six by four sheet

waiting to be drenched in words so sweet?

Words are never enough they say,

And must be those right.

For how can a mere ink spill

draw pictures of forgotten maze of the past

or haze of an unkindled dream,

all buried and wrapped safely in the silk of monotony

suddenly brought to life

like a flashlight of cacophony?

Words are never enough they say,

And must be those right.

For how can a touch or a gaze

be replaced by something

so tangible like pen, paper, words

and yet feel so electrifying

Piercing like an arrow hitting

right at the cupid?

Words are never enough they say,

And must be those right.

For they have never been

loud and brassy

to be the victors of war and race,

But just remained humble and chortle enough

to end up being encrypted in your heart,

Like an immortal.
